WK 5 Lecture, Reading & Tutorial

Hey followers!! This weeks lecture and reading was about Hypertexts!

What I learnt:
A hypertext is a link from one text to another, it can either be with images, websites, blogs, web documents or videos. With the right hypertexts, the viewer will be able to gain more of an interest in what they are reading, as they can get a more in depth understanding through other texts not only the one they are currently reading.

Wk 5 Reading:
Landow suggests his students “fall in through the living-room ceiling rather than entering through the front door.” (p 111). This suggests that readers navigate their way through the internet differently than they expected to at the start, they always lead to another form of text without even realising they are doing it, this is through the tool of hypertext.

Wk 5 tutorial:
Hootsuite-
Hannah got us to set up a Hootsuite account that allowed us to co-ordinate multiple social media platforms at once. I than added my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter account! This site was super cool as it  showed all three social media sites on the one page!

Two sites that contain Travel and Hypertexts-
1. Best places to travel in July 2016
This article talks about all the great places to visit during July 2016. Each place has a description to why its so great, as well as multiple links to other pages that has a lot more in depth information about the country/state or a specific thing to do in their.

2. Arizona’s top 5 scenic drives
This article suggests 5 scenic drives in Arizona and why they are so great, along with pictures that show amazing views. Each description has a link to another page that describes more in depth of the drive and why it would be a great experience.
